Chat Model

OpenAI Chatbots:
--------------------
OpenAI Chatbots have four models to choose from (gpt-3.5-turbo, gpt-4, gpt-4-turbo, and gpt-4o). For normal chatbot use in Second Life, the gpt-3.5-turbo model is perfectly adequate. The other three models have been added so that you can also use the chatbot for more complex tasks outside of normal chat conversations. An example of this would be scientific questions or similar.

gpt-3.5-turbo (recommended): This model is inexpensive and ideal for normal conversations.

gpt-4 and gpt-4-turbo are the most expensive models (gpt-4 being the most expensive) and should only be used if the chatbot needs to solve complex tasks. Depending on personal preference, the gpt-4o model can also be used, although it is five times more expensive than gpt-3.5-turbo.

ChantalAI Chatbots:
----------------------
ChantalAI chatbots offer two models to choose from (chantal-gpt-3 and chantal-gpt-4). Both models are trained for interpersonal conversation and are perfect for chats and role-playing in Second Life.

chantal-gpt-3: This model is cost-effective and several times cheaper than gpt-3.5-turbo. It was trained primarily in English, but can also generate text in other languages, although not with the quality and variety of OpenAI or chantal-gpt-4.

chantal-gpt-4: This model has been trained multilingually and supports many common languages. It is more powerful than chantal-gpt-3. This means it can understand chat conversations even better and generates even more perfect, creative replies. In terms of token costs, it is four times more expensive than chantal-gpt-3, putting it in the same range as OpenAI's gpt-3.5-turbo. So, it's more expensive, but not expensive.

In summary, both models are perfect for chats and role-playing. If multilingualism isn't important to you, then the chantal-gpt-3 model is a perfect choice for chats and role-playing. If you want multilingualism or even more in-depth, detailed chats and role-playing, then you should opt for the chantal-gpt-4 model.
