Throttle Time

The "Throttle Time" can be changed in the menu and the web interface and is specified in "seconds."

What is this time used for?
------------------------------------
This setting is only applicable to the chatbot's "Public" mode and prevents the chatbot from continuously sending messages to the local chat without delay. In a high-traffic chat, such as in clubs or busy locations, the chatbot would send messages incessantly. This would certainly cause many people present to feel annoyed. Hardly anyone would be able to read these nonstop messages.

What value is appropriate?
-----------------------------------------
By default, the throttle time is set to 30 seconds. How high you set the time depends on what the chatbot is supposed to do and how busy the local chat is.

Here are some examples when Public Mode is active:

a) In a club where many people are active in the local chat, a time of 30-60 seconds is usually appropriate. This prevents the chatbot from spamming and harassing people. However, it is still sufficient for it to actively participate in the chat.

b) In a club where there is little activity in the local chat, it is often useful to set the time a little lower if you want to liven up the chat. A value between 10-30 seconds could be optimal. In this case, the chatbot can positively contribute to livening up the chat.

Special features of the chatbot while the throttle time prevents messages from being sent until the timer expires:

1. For example, if a throttle time of 60 seconds is set, the chatbot only sends a message to the chat every 60 seconds. The exception is if its name is mentioned in the chat during this time. This also makes the chatbot's behavior seem more natural.

2. Even during this "pause," the chatbot continues to follow the chat history in the local chat. Once the delay time has expired, it can immediately provide a meaningful response to the current chat topic.
