Tips for use

Tip 1:
------

The chatbots listen to the public chat. Due to Second Life regulations, the range is 20 meters. This means that the chatbot can only hear what's happening within a 20-meter radius of it.

So if you have a static chatbot object, place it as centrally as possible where you expect the most people to be. In a club, for example, in the middle of the dance floor, under the floor.

If you have a chatbot HUD and are wearing it, or have an AI animesh companion with you, then position yourself in the middle of people so that the chatbot can hear what is being said near you.

Tip 2:
------
Chatbots can also be perceived as disruptive, so use them wisely.

Suppose you own a club and use your chatbot as a host to entertain people, or as a bartender. In such a case, a chatbot can be very helpful in livening up the local chat if you notice there's little activity. In this case, set your chatbot to respond at shorter intervals.

If you notice that the chat is very active even without your chatbot, choose a setting that reduces the frequency of messages being sent to the chat, or put it in "Mention" mode so that it only responds when addressed by name.
