Our chatbots have virtually endless possibilities for how they can be used. Therefore, choosing between a static object that you place somewhere and a chatbot HUD that you wear isn't always easy. Here are a few tips to help you make the decision:
How do I want to use my chatbot?
--------------------------------------
A) For example, if you have an alt avatar and want to simulate it speaking (e.g., as a bartender in your club), there are basically three options:
1. Your alt avatar has the chatbot HUD. In this case, the chatbot can only be active when the alt avatar that owns the chatbot is online.
2. You place a chatbot object, like our small cube, in the middle of the room (in a club, for example, under the dance floor). In this case, it doesn't matter which alt avatar is online, and you can use the chatbot for all alt avatars without constantly passing a HUD from one avatar to the next.
3. You wear the HUD yourself. In this case, your alt avatar only speaks when you are present.
B) If your chatbot should always be active in the same place even if you or one of your alt avatars is not present, then a chatbot object is clearly the better choice.
C) If it's important to you that your chatbot is mobile, then the HUD is clearly the better choice.
